The mini hiatus of yesterday is broken (kind of). I'm still not reading any bandom fic, though that's more of a personal ill than anything else. I do feel like I'm warming back up to it again: I barely made it through an spn fic I was reading; that only means that I'm ready to come back home ;0 Though Kings is now added to my interests, as you can see by the influx of icons.

Apparently I missed April Fools' Shenanigans, and I'm sad for that because I love a joke, but I needed to see if I could be offline for a day (I can't unless forced) and conficker had me a little scared. This laptop is new, and I can't afford to be robbed by The Geek Squad or anything else; and if I lost this laptop to a virus, I would probably cry.

Last night I watched Let The Right One In and I have to say that the hype is deserved. This is how I love to see vampires...and it was great to see kids portrayed with a different lens. It's like part horror story and part love story. I definitely want to own that movie.

Bandom on twitter makes me grin. hard.

I did watch FOB/Brendon performance and I generally liked it. They sounded okay but I just think I don't really like watching live performances unless I'm there---when I watch live performances on tv, I feel kind of bad for them unless they are spectacular. Brendon has mad energy though, it's like he has to perform or he's too bored.

Is anyone moving to dreamwidth? It seems intriguing to me, but I'm too broke to buy an account, but I am going to poke around though.

Even if I have to hijack my cousins kid to walk around and freak people out with it. It makes me think of Alien but with less blood. I could just imagine it now: my kid looks at a photo with me and him/her in one of these and points and says, 'see mom, this is why I go to therapy'.

Because I always bring the goods :)....

Today, I was drunk and horny. So I texted "I want to fuck your pussy" to my girlfriend. I later realized that I had accidentally substituted the s for the p, and actually said "I want to fuck your puppy." FML

In other news, I think I 'm just going to stop watching Top Chef. It makes me hungry most of the time and the person I wanted to win hasn't won for some seasons now and it's just getting kind of boring for me; and if Toby Young comes back around with his lame witticisms then I may just scream.

Criminal Minds was good last night; YAY HOTCH!!!

American Idol has been kind of blah for me lately; it seems like these contestants have grown up watching AI so they think they know what will ensure them success, but it just comes across practiced and flat. The standout performances for me were always unexpected and highlighted the irregular songs, I've never seen/heard someone outdo Whitney Houston on this show--I'd hazard to say it can't be done. (Feel free to prove me wrong with links) My point is: contestants should stop performing karaoke versions of crazy popular songs, that just leads them to comparisons that they usually can't live up to, for either nostalgia reasons or vocal ones.

I just downloaded this add on for firefox to block all flash images unless I click on them; so hooray to ad-free LJ without needing an account upgrade. Plus it's making firefox log on faster, a good thing on all sides.
