wishfulclickingI'll cop to partially staying up to catch 'Telephone' on E! and then fell into the trap of online flash games and now it's past 1am and I'm still awake.
Thoughts on Telephone:
* The continuity between this and 'Videophone' pleases me.
* I love how Gaga's video was a little wackier than Beyonce's but both flow into each other.
* If I try very hard can I make all of Gaga's videos one big continuous story? I may think about this more later.
* Once again I go on my quest for stories based off of music videos. Anyone able to lend a hand?
* Not as great as 'Bad Romance' but it's distinctive and I don't know if she could top 'Bad Romance' so that's something.

Trying to make one big story our of somebody's music videos was something I liked to do as a kid, and Gaga is pretty much the first artist in ages who made me want to start doing that again.
You've probably tried this already, but both the old Yuletide-archive and last year's archive had some music video-based stories. Sadly I don't think I've seen stories like that anywhere else, though. Which is a pity because stories like that are really, really fun.

Her earlier videos (like DirtyRich, Just Dance, Pokerface) are set early, before she becomes infamous; Paparazzi sends her to prison for a short time but she gets off on public sympathy but eventually falls into the world of 'Bad Romance' where she once again sets herself free with style and dangerous flair. After the events of 'Bad Romance' she hooks up with Beyonce, a prominent underground figure with a fierce all female guard with male underlings, for a temporary joint spree but Gaga ends up in jail for a brief period until Beyonce posts her bail in 'Telephone' and off they go on a criminal road trip.
*I'm basing Beyonce off of her video where she has an all female band and the men are mostly eyecandy in her videos so I think that dynamic would transfer to the fictional verse.
I've come from FBR/DD Bandom that has a ton of stories based off of music videos so I've been spoiled. RPF with Beyonce is kind of rare to find.

Maybe it's because I'm not too involved with bandom, but it actually surprises me to hear that there are a lot of music video fics in bandom. My impression about bandom was that it didn't focus on the music part that much, so I obviously need to do some investigation. Pity about the lack of Beyonce RPF, though. She (and Gaga!) seems like somebody authors would have a blast with.

I did find some Beyonce RPF on Yuletide and got directed to some comms but I need to do more research. I'm sure there has to be more.
Bandom has a ton of AUs, but there are also waves of fic about certain videos too. Like there are so many stories set in different My Chemical Romance videos, especially 'I'm Not Okay' but also for the Black Parade stuff. There was a ton of fic with vampires from Fall Out Boy's video and some circus stuff with Panic! at the Disco. But there were also fic with some The Academy Is and others too.
