So is anyone else excited for this? I have read the book and I remember liking it, I need to read it again though before the movie. Admittedly, I wasn't so excited for the movie when I heard about it but the trailer really did catch my attention. Maybe I'll see it.

Yesterday was actually productive, so today I'm planning to check out for a bit and do some leisure things I've been meaning to do; also, I want to rearrange my Itunes/CDs.

What programs do you guys use to listen to music on your computer?

Stuff I'm Watching this Summer, so far:

Warehouse 13 -- actually a decent show. The acting is good and I like the relationship between the two agents, and I'm hoping they stay friends for a while. I wouldn't necessarily want to see them in a relationship on the show. I'm not going to be fannish about this show, the world doesn't draw me in enough and the cast is too small for me, and none of the main characters excite me on that fannish level.

Being Human -- apparently this is a recast of an original pilot that a lot of people loved, but I never saw that pilot. The only previous experience I had with this show was a bandom AU that I really liked, so I went into the show with a blank slate. I like the show. I've always had a thing for the supernatural set in the mundane, these characters work in a hospital and they seem very human like characters and not larger than life like some other supernatural beings in other shows. I feel like I could be fannish about it except I'm at BBCA mercy and I missed the second episode last week. I do have some icons saved up though and I may go looking for fanfic for it later.

Drop Dead Diva -- I've watched enough Lifetime in my life to go in with preconceptions but this show has proven me wrong. It definitely deals better than that movie with that girl from Big Bang Theory in the fatsuit. The main concept is that Deb, a thin model, dies and ends up bodyswapped with Jane, a plus size (size 16, I think), smart lawyer. Yeah, that sentence seems like a joke but the show does things really well. Naturally Deb has some problems adjusting to her new body but she is adjusting as the show goes on and she keeps her best friend from before she got bodyswapped. In the show, they switch bodies but not souls, so Deb doesn't have Jane's memories but she does have her intelligence. Not fannish about this show at all but I do like watching it on Sunday nights.

SYTYCD -- for the past two days FoxReality had a marathon of this season on and I couldn't even be bothered to watch it. Overall, this season has been kind of 'meh' for me and I think it's a mixture of stuff. I do think they need more variety with hip hop choreographers and they definitely need to make NappyTabs less of a standard and more of a visit. That eviction routine was so literal and obvious--LOOK there's BOXES! I do miss Shane a little but I think that's only because he wasn't a main part of the show. None of the dancers really pop for me like they did with previous seasons, so I'm looking forward to the fall season. Still this is one of my favorite shows this season, if solely for the different styles of dance.

Burn Notice -- always cool. If you like it, you'll like this season. I'm not fannish about this show and probably never will be but I do enjoy it.

10 Things I Hate About You -- Not that bad of a show. It has its funny parts and I like the changes they made to make it more of a series, but I still don't see how it could last beyond 2 seasons. I MISS GREEK!

This has just really highlighted how meh Summer Season is most of the time and I can't wait for IASIP, Mad Men, Greek, etc to come back

I'm watching Leverage and Better Off Ted (best show ever) and looking forward to the final season of Supernatural.

...I don't really watch much TV!

Is Better Off Ted new this summer or can I catch the same stuff on hulu? I've heard great things about the show but I've only seen part of one episode.

I'm watching Leverage too except I missed the first season so I'm kind of lost.

I follow Supernatural on the side, like I did see the season finale for last season because I wanted to know what happened but most of what I know about Supernatural is from fanfic and lj posts.

There have been new eps of Better Off Ted this summer. It had like six or seven episodes earlier this year, then went on hiatus for a few months and now is back for the rest of the 13-ep season. Next week will have the last two eps of the season. I think season two doesn't start til next year. :-/
