Fairytale Princess (2689 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Haywire (2011)
Rating: Teen
Characters: Mallory Kane, Aaron (Haywire), Kenneth (Haywire)
Summary:
Mallory's life will not be a fairytale and she will not wait for someone to rescue her.
The Ruins (2664 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Cracks (2009)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Characters: Di Radfield, Miss "G" Gribben, Fiamma Coronna
Summary:
A long moment stretched between them in silence, their eyes locked together--and Di could feel her face burning, and wanted desperately to alleviate the tension and look away, but somehow she felt that Miss G would be disappointed if she did.
Within These Gates All Opening Begins (2374 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Literary RPF
Rating: Mature
Relationships: W. H. Auden/Christopher Isherwood
Summary:
The blackbird looked as out-of-place here as he felt: an English garden bird in this street. But it moved easily, like it belonged. Wystan and Christopher explore Berlin.
Lovely prose.
Cease and Resist (Double Jeopardy Remix) (4006 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Mean Girls (2004)
Rating: Explicit
Relationships: Regina George/Janis Ian
Characters: Janis Ian, Regina George
Summary:
If there's smoke, there must be fire somewhere.
Regina and Janis, before the 8th grade incident and after less than one semester of college.
When I first saw Mean Girls I played with the idea of Regina having a relationship with one of the girls, maybe Janis, and now this fic just is so perfect for them: their past and maybe future. It keeps everyone in character and is fun and hot in moments.
Missing Time (4996 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Misfits
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Relationships: Alisha Bailey/Simon Bellamy
Characters: Simon Bellamy, Alisha Bailey, Kelly Bailey, Nathan Young, Curtis Donovan
Summary:
In the weeks after community service ends, Simon keeps having strange moments with the others---stranger than usual---that all start to point to a couple of impossible truths. (aka how Simon found out he is Superhoodie and got together with Alisha)
If you loved early seasons of Misfits, especially Simon/Alisha, this is the story for you. It really captures the tone of the show and does justice to all of the characters.
the seas will split (1081 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Mad Men
Rating: General Audiences
Characters: Betty Draper, Joan Holloway
Summary:
Like mother, like daughter.
Look at two of my favorites Betty and Joan relating to their mothers in the past, and standing on their own in the present. One thing I very much enjoyed was how Don nor Roger showed up. It was all about the women with their mothers. Very short but quite powerful.
The You and Me Song (19167 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Tennis RPF
Rating: Explicit
Relationships: Novak Djokovic/Andy Murray
Characters: Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal
Summary:
'“I’ll sleep there tonight,” Andy suggested, pointing at the floor. “You take the bed.”
“You’ll kill your neck,” Novak said, without really thinking, except that Andy’s shoulders had always been more sensitive even than his own.
Andy winced. “Well I can’t let you stay there now, can I? Look, it’s really OK, you can...” he drifted off into a mumble but Novak was pretty sure he caught the word ‘share’.
Andy didn’t exactly look like terribly convinced it was OK, but the floor was hard and cold and the bed wasn’t so very small, and Novak couldn’t resist taking him at his word.'
On the day they're meant to be contesting the US Final, Novak and Andy wake up in a universe where they're married and living in London. At least that means they're allowed to eat bacon sandwiches, but the rest of it is a little more complicated...
You Are My Fifth Avenue (3232 words) by Anonymous
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Whip It (2009)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Bliss Cavendar, Pash
Summary:
Being in New York, Bliss had told her, was like a free ticket to coolness. Pash was under strict orders not to screw it up.
just a pawn, ready to advance (3337 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: The Hour, 1984 - George Orwell
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Relationships: Freddie Lyon & Lix Storm, Lix Storm/Randall Brown
Summary:
Freddie Lyon is a junior researcher at RecDep, hoping to rise to a position in Minitrue. Lix Storm is a political prisoner, a former figurehead for the resistance. Randall Brown is the man behind Minitrue, a master of propaganda. Only one of them really are what they appear to be. (Fusion with George Orwell's "1984". No actual show spoilers beyond season one and the existence of a character in season two.)
I read this with bare familiarity with The Hour but a firm devotion for 1984 and came out raving. Even if those features are flipped, this story should be enjoyable: short, glorious dystopia with a chilling end punch.
Hell Is More than Half of Paradise (1272 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Twisted Princess (Disney Fanart)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: Major Character Death
Characters: Fa Mulan (Twisted Disney Princesses - Jeftoon01), Mushu
Summary:
There was red amidst the white.
Vivid imagery, dark yet triumphant.
