I'm back (in a partial sort of way)

ok I finished reading the bigbang and I still have to upload the songs, but for me half the battle in doing fanmixes is finishing the stories. When I do a fanmix I come to know a story intimately and I could not get time to read a long fic while visiting the family. (I am glad to see the family, I just wish we could have done it on another weekend, because there is so much fic I want to read and I am really getting busy in RL which sucks so much.)
This fanmix will have a more 'rock sound'. There will be Chevelle, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, maybe some Evanescence, Incubus, and maybe some various other bands. The fic features WEREWOLF!Joe Trohman and has Avenged Sevenfold in it! This one is so much more different from the Jon/Spencer bigbang of angst/love for the first fanmix. The first fanmix has not been posted yet...I think.
* Showing internet maturity -- So I was browsing a website I frequently lurk at and I ran across a headline making fun of Panic at the Disco. The headline went pretty much like 'Panic at the Disco ditched the punctuation...tried to sound more mature...but it didn't work'. You know what I did: I did not click the link. I knew there were going to be tons of disparaging comments (because 85% of the people on this comm hate FOB/DD/etc which is not surprising considering their main demographic) and those kind of comments just make my blood pressure rise and my fingers fly. I just skimmed the headline (said that the newspaper could go and *** itself) and went on to another topic. I am trying to live by a principle of just enjoying what I love and not apologizing for it. I don't mind people hating on music that I like (because I may hate on music that you love), I just prefer discussion of what you did not like about an artist/music. (When some comments result in 'they are just (insert homosexual slur here)' I just start getting angry and not the productive kind either.)
* Not throwing my laptop to the ground and stomping on it like a petulant, giant toddler.- I am convinced that my laptop is in league with agents of evil and is trying to drive to acts of rage. When I got back home my laptop keeps on freezing and not recognizing jumpdrives and just being really annoying. This just means that I will be more sporadic in posting and keeping up with the f-list (mostly because a family member is always around the other PC). Seriously, everyone has been so actively amazing with posting fic and HCT recaps or just their posts in general that I want to hop on and leave comments. The fact that I can't is making me slightly sad. Hopefully my laptop woes will not last for more than a week---but I leave for 3 days and I come back and the f-list has exploded due to some extreme hurt feelings and the awesomeness that is bigbang.
