yuletide thoughts: fandom parallels?

I have the feeling that Kanye West is the Pete Wentz of Hip Hop RPF narration: that perfect mix of self-involvement, humor, desperation and bravado. I need to read more to make a more informed opinion but so far the stories I've read with him from yuletide have put me in mind of Wentz stories in bandom.

Anyone with more experience with that fandom? Got any links? Also, how big is this fandom?

Hi! I was wandering through the Yuletide tag feed and saw this post. I've mostly only read what Kanye fic has been linked on blow_trees, but I would definitely rec just_katarin's fic in the fandom. I have no clue how big the fandom is in general, having only been in the Kanye West section of it (though by this point I am very tempted to go looking for any Beyonce fic I can get my hands on).

Thanks so much for the info! I am definitely going to have to check out the comm after I'm done with yuletide. I have read Kanye West in fiction before and Jay-z, Rihanna, and Beyonce have come up but they were all bandom centric stories, this is my first time reading fic with them as the main cast. I really liked it!
