Okay so I really shouldn't try to watch two shows simultaneously (Glee and Criminal Minds) but my finger was agile and fierce and I managed to watch most of both. I do need to rewatch Criminal Minds though.

Why do the really crazy ones seem to be drawn to Hotch? How sexual was that scene when C. Thomas Howell was stabbing Hotch ('just relax and it goes in easier' and holy cow, the camera work, and how he presented himself shirtless to Hotch 'do you want to see my scars?')

My mom watches CM too and she came in my room and came with this: Did The Reaper rape Hotch too?
She is basing this question on the whole part where C. Thomas Howell was straddling Hotch and was like 'most profilers associate stabbing with impotence; I hope this changes your profiling' My mind never went there; at most, I thought he could be erect.

Plus, he was stabbed repeatedly, wouldn't that have been more hazardous?

It was good tonight. I would love to read your thoughts about it after you do watch it. Do you watch it online somewhere or do you download it?

It's on the dvr. I picked Glee over CM because I knew that ak doesn't really care about Glee and therefore wouldn't mind missing the first 20 minutes but she'll be sad if I watch CM without her. And then Top Chef came on and then we had to get something to eat because we forgot to do that earlier and now it's just too late to start it. So we'll probably watch it tomorrow or Friday.

Sadly, I still haven't seen the season finale from last season. But I think the same thing happened to me last year too. I watch the premiere before the finale from the 3rd season. *shrugs* And that's probably way more about my tv viewing habits than you wanted to know.

I'll probably post something about the episode after we watch it.

Last season's finale flows into this premiere, well at least it does for the Hotch storyline.

I watched Top Chef too. Toby Young was better this episode to me. I hope he stays at this level.

No DVR for me, so I just rely on switching channels really quick and rewatching on Hulu or online for a closer look.

I don't believe he was raped - that would have killed him for sure. I do believe there's no way that everyone (including me) who reviewed it on my flist, plus another on friends-friends picked up on it as a really sensually/sexually staged scene without it being done on purpose.

That said, I'd also be interested to see if any *guys* picked up on it, or if we're picking up on the cues faster because we're women.

Yeah, I definitely agree. Unfortunately I don't know any guys that watch CM, though I don't see how they couldn't, just the way it was filmed was very sexual. The whole straddling and presenting himself, I'm still 'holy crap' at it. I enjoyed the episode, but I'm still surprised they went there.

I really want to hear/read the writers' and actors' commentary on this episode.
