Oh man, I'm so bored right now. Ummm, I kind of looking at attempted Sixties fic AU/Vietnam and my eyes started crossing, so any of you guys who said you wouldn't mind helping me could give it a look, that'd be great. IDK, my eyes are burning.

I feel sick right now because I ate way too many cookies and I don't know what's wrong with me; I'm on some kind of food binge and I need to stop. Ugh. Right.

Right now I'm watching Medium and sometimes I think Joe should leave Allison because she's so annoying and I know they are supposed to be so in love and that's great but I feel bad for Joe and I need to stop watching this show. But I do really dig Joe's accent.

On another note, I want someone to die on Heroes. I want someone from the main cast to die for real and not come back or anything else all hand wavey. I have some theories about that show and how I really believe the creator got too attached to certain characters and how someone from the main cast needs to DIE NOW.

How much more pointless can I make this post....ummm I was holding out some hope that my laptop would be fixed now but that would just be too good to be true. I really miss my laptop.

Two days ago, when I was watching Dead Like Me, I thought about how much I want a Dead Like Me bandom AU. I've read the SGA one and it's so good. Because I usually think in terms of PATD, I'm going to lay out how I'd do it with those characters, but really, I just want a Dead Like Me AU.

Pete = Rube, maybe he could be a bank robber too in his earlier life.
Ryan = Daisy except he's a writer from the 20s who constantly talks about being one of the Bright Young Things.
Brendon = Mason because I adore his comic haplessness. I could totally see Brendon being a hippy.
Roxie = Spencer because I like imaging him with a gun, and taking people's souls out because they piss him off.
George = someone from the Cab, maybe Marshall or Johnson. Maybe Marshall had a crush on that dumb kid, Cash, but then Marshall died in some freak accident when he was 18.

Are there any bandom Dead Like Me AUs? Could you guys link me to them, I could read them after I get my laptop back :)

I just feel like the cast needs to be thinned out or something. I adore Heroes and I've stuck through every season. The bald guy confuses me because what can he actually do to any of the Heroes? And is it just me, but does this government task force seem kind of inept?

I feel like Nathan should have taken the time to make sure all the people working for him for them to be on the same page...that Bald Guy is bad news..He's gonna take over and start more trouble.

I don't know who I would want to see dead, but I can see Matt dying with the current direction of this story. IDK, I did appreciate the new conflict with Matt and Mohinder. I could also see Mohinder dying; I don't really see any Petrellis dying for a while; and I wish the others would recognize that people die around the Petrellis way often but the Petrellis come out pretty much unscathed.

I think Nathan should have checked himself out more, but what he did was pretty rash, so I can't say that I'm surprised. I'm of the mind that both Nathan and Peter are liabilities to their sides because they've constantly shown that they are bent to place family loyalty first, especially Nathan. And I know Peter talks big, but I've only seen future!Peter do any major damage to Nathan.

Nathan has made it clear that he wants to protect both Peter and Claire, so I don't think he should be heading a task force. It seems kind of naive of him to think he could manage this task of confining the people with powers without blood shed.

I'm not really surprised that Nathan was just like..."I'm gonna go all out jack ass and just ruin everyone's life." Peter needs to grow a pair and come out from under his brother's shadow..

Yeah, He's kind of stupid..And soon someone's gonna catch on that he can fly and he'll be in just as much trouble..

Peter coming out of his brother's shadow is slowly happening, and it's definitely a part of his character development.

Nathan's actions don't surprise me much either; and I can easily see him getting caught by the Hunter.

My one hope with Peter is that Milo stops dropping his voice to indicate a new level of 'badass'; it just irritates me so much. It makes me feel like I'm watching a parody sometimes.

Oh man I totally forgot about Reggie :) I would so love to read a bandom/Dead Like Me with Gerard as George. I really hope you find that someday.

Have you ever read the graphic novel DMZ, I've been thinking about an AU of that for a while.

DMZ? Can't say that I have. What's it about?

DMZ is a comic book where the United States falls into a Civil War during like 2006 and because the government and military are spread so thin with foreign endeavors, they don't respond soon enough and the entire country is pretty much swallowed by war. Instead of it being a regional thing, the different sides are all over. The group, The Free states, want freedom from the government and they are everywhere, though they started in the mid-West.

The comic book focuses on Manhattan which is the only neutral zone because the city is too hard for either side to take over.

My summary is lacking, but it's an excellent depiction of war life; and the author mentioned how DMZ is a love letter to Manhattan and you can totally sense that from how he describes all the different kinds of people/settings.

Speaking of graphic novels, Fables is a most excellent series and if that's your thing, I recommend it to everyone.

I agree that someone needs to get killed off properly on Heroes. When they do what they've been doing, you believe no one can really die, so it takes any suspense out of it. It's like, they need Joss Whedon to come in and tell them what to do. He's really well known for killing off characters so, when he puts a character in mortal danger, it's really suspenseful, you know? Because you know they might die.

I mean, technically, they killed Elle, but she wasn't really a proper regular and a lot of people knew they were going to kill her off because KB was so busy with so many different projects.

You are so right about death and Heroes. Oh man, Joss Whedon has broken my heart with some of his death scenes; I'm going to think of Joyce dying and how Anya's speech actually made me cry a little. My hope is that Bryan Fuller, or someone who hasn't been attached from the beginning and all through out the entire series, comes around and is just like, 'I know you love these characters, but for the sake of the entire story arc, X needs to go.'

Elle wasn't a proper regular at all. I enjoyed her for the most part.

Joss knows what he's doing. I mean, whether or not he kills a character, he can make us believe that that character is going to die because we know him. He enjoys killing off characters. I seriously can picture him cackling as he plans who to kill next, you know?

I haven't enjoyed any of Bryan Fuller's shows (I've tried watching them, but they just aren't my thing), but he wrote my very favorite episode of Heroes. Company Man made me weep. It was just so good.

I know! She was awesome! I admit that, as a Kristen Bell fan, I'm completely biased.

I did enjoy Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me and I loved Company Man. It is definitely one of my favorite episodes.

Me too! I want to see him and Russell T. Davies work together just because I've seen RTD cackle in glee about torturing the viewers in the same exact way I imagine Joss cackling. It would be the most evil thing ever, but amazing at the same time.

Yeah, I've tried watching Pushing Daisies and Wonderfalls but I just didn't enjoy them. They weren't my type of show. But Company Man was amazing. And it was my favorite episode even before I was a Christopher Eccleston fan (although I enjoy watching it even more now that I am a fan).
