Media Year in Review

I've barely posted this year, but I did want to at least make this post to look back on what I've consumed this year.
Television
My tv habits fell off a bit with the addition to gaming (more on that) and other pressing matters.
New shows I watched and liked: Supergirl, Daredevil, Jessica Jones.
Shows I continued with: The Flash (This season so far does not feel as good as the first, but I'm hoping the second half gets a bit tighter), Brooklyn 99 (still one of my favorites even if I was gritting my teeth during Holt's long absence), Orange is the New Black.
Shows I still need to try: The Expanse, Sense8
Books
Didn't get to read as much as I wanted but I did read some good stuff.
Best books: The Song of Achilles and Giovanni's Room
Worst: In the Wake of the Plague
Books that stayed beyond me finishing the final page: The Song of Achilles, Giovanni's Room (You are not nice), Acceptance, Scandals of Classic Hollywood, and Vicious
Film
Fell short on this too with the final number being 72.
First film watched: Blue Valentine (I still like it: the emotions between Gosling and Williams felt so real)
Last film watched: Song of the Sea (gorgeous Irish animated film focused on selkie mythology; highly recommended)
Favorite films watched: Ex Machina, Mad Max Fury Road, Amadeus, Jackie Brown, Wild Tales, What We Do in the Shadows
Favorite performances: Cate Blanchett in Blue Jasmine, Oscar Isaac in Ex Machina (that dance scene! the menace he exudes!), Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road, Amadeus leads, the bride in Wild Tales, the kid in What Maisie Knew, Juliet Binoche in Clouds of Sils Maria, Eddie Redmayne in Jupiter Acending (favorite not best!),Keira Knightley & Chloe Grace Moretz in Laggies, Elizabeth Debicki in Man from UNCLE
Distinct films: It Follows, Tangerine, Laggies, The Paperboy (Nicole Kidman pissing on Zac Efron isn't even the wildest scene tbh), Kumiko the Treasure Hunter
