Yeah it was a good read. I've been long thinking about identity being tied up in what is enjoyed/consumed, and it's nice to read posts that put some of those ideas into words. I follow some music/pop culture critics on tumblr; with there being a recent blowup on who dominates discussion about areas of culture (an example of this was whites discussing hip hop and what is promoted; the conversation hit multiple tumblrs turned up some good stuff; and another one was about Taylor Swift and other female musicans).
