Favorite Episode this season, probably eclipses most of the B9 and will continue to be one of my favorite episodes. I've always felt that Glee is at its strongest when it has a mix of quirky music and has more of an ensemble vibe. Focusing on one or two characters too much and too often can grate, especially if other characters are getting sidelined.
Sam: he's really growing on me just as a character, and as long as they keep this direction with him, his geeky earnestness and sense of honor is so nice to have on the show. On a superficial level, Sam and Finn are very similar but Sam seems actually more aware of himself and his actions and less selfish (for now). Sam/Kurt or Sam/Quinn I really don't care how it ends up, as long as there isn't too much damage.
Finn and Rachel feed off each other and are kind of hilarious in a trainwreck way. Their scheming is so apparent to anyone who cares to notice (hi Quinn) but they don't really bother me that much this episode. Maybe I'm getting immunity to their shenanigans.
Oh Kurt: what I appreciate is that Kurt's characterization has held strong, he's aggressive just in a different way. Finally the whole fatal attraction shade from last season was addressed, even though it was wrapped in Finn's dickish point. Burt still makes me smile so much. If the spoiler about the other character is right, I hope he's sex on legs and is fully intent on Kurt and they have a great time together. *Sigh* though Kurt looks so good sad, too.
Wow, Santana and Brittany! Bed scene, reference to actual sex. I didn't think Glee would actually go there. Yeah, I foresee more complaints coming their way. That 8 pm slot is not their friend.
Let us take a moment to recognize the fierceness of Santana and Mercedes.

Yeah, such a hot routine. Love them. Need a gif.
Tina and Mike were surprisingly cute. I liked it.
Artie makes me sad a bit.
Quinn regaining her footing is making me smile. I love how she asserted herself with Sam and even if that doesn't end up in a good place for them as a couple, I think Quinn will come out okay. She seems stronger now. I'm liking it.
Does anyone else think Puck is leaving the show soon?
Oh, sweet Kurt&Rachel moment made me smile. Sometimes those two are really capable of sincerity with each other. I want more of their friendship.

Date: 2010-10-13 03:44 am (UTC)I missed Sue but I felt like I had enough of her last episode to tide me over and I like the moments the new football coach comes up so I didn't really miss her this episode.
