What trips me out so often that this is a show I can watch without subscribing to premium cable. I've seen great dramas before but most of them were on HBO. Honestly, it seems like cable has a higher level of drama than the network channels do and I wish the networks would step up their game but as long as I get tv like Mad Men I'm okay.
WWZ had me pausing, reading certain sections again, and then going back to see where certain characters were first mentioned. The scope of that book alone impressed and even knowing the person being interviewed survived, I still felt such tension. I've heard rumors about a movie but I'm not sure how it would translate. If done right it could be amazing but I'm not sure if it would be done right.
