My mom wants a pancake breakfast at 8 in the morning so I have to get to bed a bit earlier tonight, even though I spent most of my time hiding from the daylight thanks to a migraine.

Because I'm not one to back down from a challenge, my friend and I are going for a walk on Monday at 7am /o\ Whatever, if she can do it, I can too. I may not have seen the day before 8am recently, but I can get back into the swing of it for one day

The premise of The Looking Glass Wars is nice but the writing is holding it back.

The Looking Glass Wars is a retelling of Alice in Wonderland. I have a thing for retelling/adaptation of fairy tales and stuff like that.

Right now I'm reading Memours(misspelled) of an ugly step sister...it's a retaling of cinderella and so far I'm really liking it..

I also really like retellings of stories and adaptations and reimaginings of old stories:D

Have you read Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Maguire, it's a pretty good retelling too. It's told from the pov of a stepsister and it's a story without magic.

*facepalm*...that's actually what I meant..this is what I get for trying to type out book titles without the book sitting right next to me.

I just finished it...I have to say I liked it.

I'm glad you liked it. That one is actually my favorite but I think that's mostly because I'm not too familiar with the Wizard of Oz story, so I enjoyed Wicked but not on the level of the other one.

See I loved both in equal measure for their merits and awesomeness(I'm a fan of the 30's movie of OZ sooo needless to say I liked wicked...but I loved SOn of a witch even more and a lion among men wasn't bad but def not the best...made me want another in the series)

I got up to an alarm at 6am on Mother's Day, not because of breakfast, but because my daughter has a basketball game and she and my husband need to be out the hotel room door by 7am... I get to stay behind and pack and stuffs... fun Mother's day morning, huh? *grins*

Mornings are eeeeeevil.

Thanks about the migraine, it's lasted until half day and then went down. So I'm good now.
