Even after I finished the icons, figuring out how to put them in to table took me some time.

Did you keep rearranging the category and artist choice icons in your table? I tried out so many arrangements, to get what felt right, before I finally posted mine!

Here is where I out myself as a Luddite: I went through six pages of paper taking notes for this and towards the end I listed the file name of various icons that could possibly go under certain categories. In all, I made 30 icons and then whittled it down from there.

I still think I could have switched the order around for some but it's too late for that. Next time I know to get stuff done earlier.

I went through one page of physical notes. But as I worked on the icons, I kept track of where I thought I was putting them by filename, and I changed those so many times it wasn't funny.

I thought of how I wanted to do the icons in my head before I actually started attempting them and then I made a folder (which I now need to clear out) of all the icons I considered before I narrowed things down.

Your advice to focus on one or two episodes really helped. Otherwise, I would have been drowning in notes and possible screencaps.

Oh good, I'm glad it helped! I know it worked for me with Degrassi (although focusing on one character also helped me there).

My technique was going through caps and copying the ones I thought could be potentially icons into a folder, then I'd make the icons and work towards filling the prompts, and rename things as I went for what I thought I was keeping it for. This is the first time I've ended up with extra icons, and there were caps I never iconned that I might yet go back and do another small set from someday, because I thought the cap would be good.

I think I'm going to go back and icon some more scenes. There are also some ones I want to animate and then post a full set to link to other comms.

Thanks! AC#1 was a surprise but I really love how it turned out too. That dog was the cutest thing in that show.
