Oct. 30th, 2008 12:54 pmHello!
So I went ahead and joined nanowrimo :) I do hope to finish but even if I don't, it'll be nice to actually write more than two paragraphs at a time. When I actually finish my profile, I'll link you guys to it and, if any of you guys are doing it too, we can be writing buddies.
Speaking of writing--- I hope to sit down and edit that story I've been talking about for the last two weeks. It would have been done earlier, but I'm fighting off colds and other maladies, and I really can't look at a pc screen while I have a headache.
I did start sequel for both the nate/patrick story (Definitive Countdown) and the patd one (yeah, the one I haven't even finished editing yet--) but those things will be on technical back shelf until November is done.
Now on to a meme:
List my favorite 10 songs from Panic at the Disco....
This is in no order!
Northern Downpour-- is the video out yet? This is one of my favorite songs from them and it just is one of my favorite songs. This is the song I played on repeat for an extremely long time and it's the song I play to people who don't know about PATD. I missed your skin while you were east-- guys, every time I hear that line, I still smile and get ridiculous.
Lying is the Most Fun....-- This is the song that actually pay any attention to them as a band. I was actually irritated with the 'I Write Sins' but the minute I heard this song, I was like 'ok, this band is cool', unfortunately, I didn't even realize they were the same band. This was also during one my musicless periods--I'll explain it later.
That Green Gentleman -- It's this song that made me unable to listen to the rest of the Pretty.Odd. I heard it one time on a Friday night, I didn't even hear the rest of the album until days later. TGG hopped onto my Top 25 in an obscenely short time.
Camisado -- It took me longer to actually get into this song; but I still love the desperate breakdown in the middle.
Time to Dance -- okay this was the song that made me actually buy Fever. This is also why I'm so sad to be missing Rock Band tour because I have yet to get the TTD live experience (with drums!). I love Acoustic!Brendon, but I want my drumming on Time to Dance!
Esteban-- mainly just for the drumming. What? You guys see who dominates my icons.
There's a Reason...--- I adore Gatsby and Fitzgerald. I love the jazz age! How could I not love this song? Yes, I do try the snapping thing Brendon does with 'you're a diva' and yes, I still fail half of the time. ( I never claimed to have rhythm).
Mad as Rabbits -- just because I love dance parties; and it's one of the times I can really appreciate Spencer. Also, the song just feels jaunty to me :)
Karma Police -- okay, it's a cover. I can do that. I just really love the interplay towards the end with Ryan coming in with 'well I'm afraid that I...' and 'for a minute there, I lost myself' and how Brendon sings that last line.
Tonight, Tonight -- love these lyrics and how Brendon sings them. The opening music is still lovely for me.
Alright, if you guys don't have these covers, tell me. I will upload them for you. I pretty much have every PATD cover now, I think. Plus, if you want, you could totally do this meme to with any band.
