The Punk Goes Crunk taps into my love for ridiculous covers but I only like half of them, and mostly for random reasons. Like hearing a growl in 'Still Fly' makes that song even more hilarious or having the lead singer from The Starting Line sing 'I lick the opposition cause she don't take no pill' somehow gives me perverse glee.
The thing with SYG is that this blog I followed made such a big deal about them and their album and I got really excited for it because I'm always looking for great new music. The blog went on to call it a return to more masculine pop punk (that's the main idea) and it made me curious, but the album was such a disappointment. I couldn't like anything on it and I really wanted to like it.
