I've finally made some headway on the mixes. One has all the music (including lyrics, and order) picked out and I made a mock cover to send in as the rough draft. Eleven songs total, and two artists being repeated but the songs really fit so I don't feel bad about that at all. The 'cover' isn't too much but if it does end up being the cover I won't feel like I did it halfway. I'm just hoping to have some time to play with the cover some more.

To reward myself, I read a bit of fic just for my leisure: A Golden Silence Rings Clear by doctor_jasley It has space, zombies, and amnesia which are just a few of my favorite things. It's gen and a fun read. Oh and it was written for me b/c I am that lucky sometimes.

I've fallen behind on my reading but I'm going to catch up this week. It's not like I haven't been reading but I haven't been writing them up which is something I've wanted to get used to. Oh, and I bought a new journal for book reading.

I've been (poorly) keeping track of the books I've read for 2010 on this journal but often I'm writing on scraps in notebooks and margins and then typing them into an entry for later. With a physical journal, everything will be in the same place I have a nostalgic spot for holding things in my hands and smelling the passing time on them. Mmmm... old book smell :)

I had an old journal from Barnes&Noble that fits the uses. I got the idea from an online book journal site I'm following.

I write on scraps of anything I can get my hands on when I'm typing a longer story. The epic fantasy fic I posted three weeks ago has several different sheets of scrap page that have different over arching details. I should prolly get a journal for idea purposes(but knowing me I would only use it sporatically).

sounds like a good idea really everything will be in one place. Plus yeah the added bonus of passing time. old book smell is awesome.:)

I have a binder with a numbered index for fic ideas b/c I usually have a ton of ideas and write a bit on them and then lose interest for a bit, but I need to clean out the ones that aren't going anywhere. With bandom dying down, there's this odd serenity at my fic being barely read, something which was possible even when bandom was at a high.

I also have a clipboard where I keep the story that I most need to work on. I like office supplies, they represent order for me.

I live in my head so I have ideas for everything and anything. I try not to write too many fic ideas down(because then that would be all I'd do instead of finishing anything)

I can understand that...I just like lists of things...if I buy office supplies they end up scattered everywhere and doing me no good( or they get used as art supplies)
