oddly muted after a sporadic rush of enjoyment

I did enjoy tonight's Glee, although I recognize there was no basic plot and the show felt more like a string of music videos than an actual episode, but they don't do this often so I can let the lack of plot slide. Because of my age, I'm more familiar with Britney Spears than I realized.

*Brittany is best in small doses. Her monotone crac-hilarity is best when it's a spontaneous extra instead of being the focus. Though much love for her and Santana.

*+1 for Santana mentioning her father, the doctor; -1 for the weird diction she had going on this episode during certain moments. IDK, she's never talked like that before so I don't know if it was supposed to be a joke.

*Will/Emma do not interest me. Though I still have a crush on Uncle Jesse. What is nostalgia! Damn you, Full House!

*Finn and Rachel aren't good for each other. They seem to feed off of each other's failures and then they're kind of mean towards each other. I like them so much better apart.

*Will continues to be inappropriate but I did enjoy that 'Toxic' performance. SEX RIOT! I see you Kurt and Mercedes!

My fear is that with tonight's lack of plot, there may be too much plot in next week's episode. I do not like it when major injury pop up b/c it just pulls out the drama but hopefully they contain it to one episode and don't drag it out.

More thoughts later after I sleep on it (probably).

I couldn't get into it all, tbh. I zipped through the music videos to the plot points, which weren't many. I'm just gonna pretend this week didn't happen and move on to the next; I really don't think it'll have any impact on anything else this season, besides the intro of Emma's new beau.

Important question, though: in the scene where Kurt has his inexplicable freakout, was he wearing a skirt? Like, a black pleated skirt over pants? Because if so...that's bold.
