The Workaround

If I'm going to make 50 books in 2010, I'm going to have to pad with some shorter novels. After my initial enthusiasm I've hit a string of books that didn't hold my interest and I ended up not finishing. The last one I couldn't finish because I couldn't stand the type of pages it had.

Short books I'm going to read to get some higher numbers:
Six Characters in Search of an Author
On War
A Mathematician's Apology

and whatever other short novels I have around my book shelf.

Yeah, I'm woefully behind as well. I'm just now finishing up my third book... D: (I also have a few chapters of the first Sherlock Holmes book read, but that's slow going because I'm like eh, if I want to read Sherlock Holmes, why not read all this fanfic!? XD)

I wanted to read longer books this year, but I think if I want to make fifty, I'm going to have to do a lot of short stuff again. *sigh*

I finished my fourth but I do have some in the process of being read; it's just that I've not finished three books now--either they weren't interesting enough or I ran out of time from the library.

My third book was 700+ pages and I read that faster than much shorter books but I really enjoyed reading it.
