The Princess and the Frog! So awesome.

So my title summarizes my feelings on the movie, but let me go into detail:

Tiana had her own goals and dreams and she didn't have to abandon them to marry the prince.

Naveen (?) was kind of a dork but be grew into better behavior and his journey made sense.

They both saved each other!

Tiana's friend was her friend and there never was any rivalry for Naveen's affection. I love it when girls are friends. Oh and Tiana's mom was cool!

RAAAAYYYY !!!!!! I may have gotten a little misty. I kept on waiting for Disney to pull some magic and bring him back but they didn't. It still ended so great.

There were dual sides to the magic/voodoo.

The music was fun!

My mom and I (yes, we so go to movies together still!) went for a 12:40 showing and sat in the way back because the place had families all over. The crowd laughed and AWWW'd at places and at the end there was applause. When we got out, one little girl said she wanted to go see it again :)

There were parts that felt like nods to earlier Disney works; like the necklace that kept the charm in place and the float of the merman reminded me of The Little Mermaid, and other times the animals reminded me of the Jungle Book just a bit.

I so want to see it again!
